BYD

The BYD B-Box PRO 13.8 is a custom solution that is designed specifically for the small-scale micro-grid projects due to its high discharge power and scalability. Each B-Box PRO 13.8 supports a continuous discharge rate close to 1C which is extremely useful in larger off-grid situations and there can be up to 32 batteries connected in parallel which translates to a maximum storage capacity of 441.6kWh per system. This allows the unit to fit a particular niche market where the battery capacity might be too small for containerised solutions to make economic sense but also too large for the usual residential solutions.

The cabinet is used to store BYD B-Box BPLUS battery modules, one cabinet can store up to 4 modules and is suited for indoor applications.

The BYD B-Box BPLUS 2.5kWh battery module offers an extremely flexible and robust solution for energy storage applications. It can reach up to 1C continuous discharge rate and a peak discharge rate of 2C. Allowing it to be well suited for high load applications in both off-grid and backup scenarios. The battery also uses a lithium iron phosphate chemistry that is considered as the safest and most stable compound used in lithium-ion batteries. In addition, the battery unit can be scaled up to 80kWh, making it suitable for both commercial and residential applications.

The BYD B-Box BPLUS H 1.28kWh battery module is the high voltage variant of the BPLUS 2.5kWh. It retains all the properties of the 48V version including high discharge rate, safe chemistry mix and modular design. In addition, this battery module has integrated the enclosure to its own body and therefore further decreasing the installation time and efforts.
